About Our Community

Founded in 2016, our volunteer group partners with the National Ambulance Service to provide emergency care across areas from Shankill to Kilternan.

We provide a First Responder service in partnership with the National Ambulance Service (NAS) in response to 999/112 calls involving time-critical, potentially life-threatening medical emergencies. Our role is to stabilize the patient and provide appropriate care until members of NAS arrive on scene.

We respond to life-threatening incidents like cardiac arrest and stroke, as well as first-aid calls including falls and traumatic injuries.

Because we are locally based, our responders often arrive within the first vital minutes—frequently ahead of an ambulance. This rapid response is critical for cardiac emergencies, where immediate CPR and AED use are essential for survival.

Increasing Public Awareness

We run information & training events on recognising & dealing with heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking, incl. effective CPR & use of an AED.

Public Access Defibrillators

Our group and others, have installed and maintain Public Access Defibrillators for public use, accessible 24x7. Find out where they are located.
