Catherine Malone Named NAS Best CFR Coordinator! 

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our very own Catherine Malone has been awarded “Best CFR Coordinator” at the 2026 National Ambulance Service (NAS) Volunteer Awards!

The Group Coordinator role is critical to the running of any CFR Group. As the primary interface with NAS and CFR Ireland, Catherine is responsible for monitoring the welfare of our volunteers, signing off on new policies and procedures, co-operating with audits of Community First Responder schemes, and acting as a liaison for Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) support—to name just a few of her many responsibilities. She manages all of this while remaining an active first responder herself.

Congratulations, Catherine! This prestigious national recognition is so incredibly well deserved. We are so proud of you and grateful for everything you do.
